They are Mindspeakers, FarSeers, Empaths, ForeSeers, Firestarters, FarSpeakers, and more. These inborn talents—combined with training as emissaries, spies, judges, diplomats, scouts, counselors, warriors, and more—make them indispensable to their monarch and realm.
Sought and Chosen by mysterious horse-like Companions, they are bonded for life to these telepathic, enigmatic creatures. The Heralds of Valdemar and their Companions ride circuit throughout the kingdom, protecting the peace and, when necessary, defending their land and monarch.

my review
This is the 17th anthology collection, meant to be read as a companion to the standalones, trilogies, and other series that make up the Valdemar saga of Mercedes Lackey’s creation. Like each of the anthologies, these stories have the central theme of being able to do anything with very little. The stories are written by a wide variety of authors, to include Lackey herself, all set within the beloved world. Great addition to the world!
