the blurb

When Mabel Frye finds herself accused of murder, she does what any self-respecting woman would do, she sets out to find the real murderer. It's too bad sexy detective Leo Watts keeps getting in her way.

Wait, no, the sexy detective can absolutely get in her way, if you know what I mean. Except stubborn Leo refuses divulge any clues he's uncovered so she takes it upon herself to dig up her own. Mabel uses her knowledge of books and her instincts to track down the person who, rudely, framed her for murder.

  • a few notes

Murder in the Stacks follows the prequel novella Mabel Frye, and I loved it just as much as I did the prequel!

I adore Mabel. She’s so smart and sassy, brilliantly funny and clever. She’s the perfect foil for Leo, the detective she meets in the most awkward of moments. The connection between them is fantastic and funny, their banter so witty. I love smart, clever characters with storylines to match. The mystery elements of the story are so good, with lots of twists and turns to keep you turning the pages, needing to know more!

Such a fantastic read!

About Kayt Miller

Kayt grew up in the midwest surrounded by a loving family which included three brothers, one sister, and parents who always fostered her creative side.

Kayt wrote her first book when she couldn’t find a story about a certain type of a woman and a specific kind of man. She called it Game Changer and it couldn’t have been a more appropriate title. It changed her life in many ways.

Her goal, as a writer, is to write stories that relate to all of us, to make readers laugh and maybe cry sometimes. Kayt hopes her readers can escape into a fantasy, one that’s actually possible. Sure, some of the stories are dubbed “Insta-love” but that’s okay.
