the blurb
Rylee and Matt are sworn enemies—and falling in love might pushes them apart forever.
Rylee’s living her dream life in NYC. The problem is she can’t afford it. A promotion would get her a raise, an office, and validation that leaving her small-town past was right. The only thing blocking it is Matt Calhoun, the arrogant newspaper editor who has turned Maple Cove against her and BigMart’s expansion plans.
Matt has seen Rylee’s selfish, big-city type before. In fact, he’d almost married it! He won’t let her empty promises hurt the people of Maple Cove, but as she worms her way into the hearts of the small community, he sees a different side of her. Now he has a new problem—protecting his heart.
my review
I love this series so much! Maple Cove is the perfect small-town setting, a community so focused on both dogs and supporting one another. It’s the kind of place that I want to live.
Matt is the city boy who fell in love with the small town. Rylee is the small town girl who fell in love with the big city. In so many ways, they are polar opposites. Especially when her job threatens to tear them apart.
This is a story about discovering what’s most important in life. It’s about coming to terms with the past, the importance of forgiving yourself. It’s also a story about being open to change.
This is a sweet romance with a diverse and quirky cast of characters. I love seeing those of past books revisited in each book of the series!
