Introvert (in-troh-vurt): Someone who is quiet, shy, and/or thoughtful. For reference, see Aurora Kent.
Seventeen-year-old Aurora Kent likes being alone. For the most part. With her fear of crowds, anxiety issues, and inexperience, she’s never really left home.
Until now.
Aurora loves playing violin…and surprises everyone when she agrees to go on tour with a band for two months.
She surprises herself more by kissing a rockstar.
Felix Cordova. Mysterious, cocky, gorgeous—and strangely familiar. When Felix asks her to be his girlfriend for 10 seconds, she agrees. But Aurora never expected a video of their kiss to go viral.
Now she’s in a fake relationship with the one guy who makes her heart sing.
Stuck on a bus with five hot musicians, playing sold-out shows, Aurora should be living the dream. But as fake dating leads to sharing a bunk, late-night talks, and heartfelt confessions, Aurora finds herself falling hard.
Which is a problem because, real or fake, summer romances never last—right?
This book features two opposites with the most delicious slow burn, one heart-melting grand gesture, so many soul-stirring kisses and answers the question:
What happens when a shy girl falls for a rockstar?
an excerpt
Apparently, “selling our fake relationship” meant more of Felix and me together.
More hand-holding.
More stolen glances.
More just being near each other—which honestly I enjoyed more than I should.
And more documenting that time together.
Some pictures were one hundred percent candid—like the selfies we took on the tour bus, usually group pics with the guys. Others were posed—like the photos we were taking today.
Luckily (or unluckily), there hadn’t been any more kisses. After the cheek kiss/hand kiss in Chicago, I’d adhered to my self-imposed rule of no kissing on the mouth.
But Felix made it really difficult.
When he looked at me with those soulful eyes and leaned close, it was hard to remember my own name let alone why I should stay away.
“Ooh, that’s good,” Shamar, the photographer, said. “You look very demure, Aurora, peering up at him from beneath your lashes like that. And Felix, you are rocking this. I totally believe that you want to devour her whole.”
Felix’s eyes widened, and I looked away on a laugh.
“Oh I love it!” Shamar said. “Yes, authenticity!”
Felix murmured, “Devour? Who even says that?”
“Shamar, apparently,” I said back. “He makes you sound like a wolf.”
“Or a psycho.”
I bit back a laugh and heard Shamar’s camera aperture go off again.
“And you’re laughing,” Felix said.
“No, I’m not.”
“You like the idea of making me crazy, huh?”
“You’re ridiculous.”
Shamar called out, “Yes, loving the improv.”
Felix’s hand cupped my cheek, and all thoughts of laughter vanished. I swallowed thickly as he drew closer.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
He lifted a brow. “You sound nervous.”
Because I was.
“Don’t worry. I’m just giving them what they want.”
They? Who’s they? I wondered. Was it me? Because my vision was filled with him, and my whole body was definitely reacting to his touch.
“Shamar,” I said once my brain had a chance to catch up. “That’s who you meant.”
“Of course,” Felix said, pressing his mouth against my neck directly over my pulse point. “Who else would want me to act like a wolf?”
As he nipped my skin lightly, I gasped.
