the blurb

He loves the spotlight. She loves the quiet life.

Leah Kelly is finally living the life of her dreams. After leaving the world of high finance, she bought a small farm and raises alpacas, llamas, and even has her own rooster. Not to mention the seven barn cats.

Living out in the boonies of Truth Harbor, she never expected to meet a rock star. But Joshua Trevant, the sexy lead singer for East Echo, knows how to make an entrance. His life is big and messy, and all the things Leah doesn’t want.

When news gets out that his band is splitting up, it becomes a three-ring circus. The paparazzi circle his home like vultures.

Josh and his eleven-year-old son manage to escape and wind up on Leah’s doorstep desperate for help.

All they need is a place to lie low until the chaos dies down...

my review

This story had a little bit of everything… a great romance, witty humor and banter, a whirlwind of emotions, and a lot of twists and turns. Leah and Josh come from very different worlds, which made their story together all that much more sweeter. But their story wasn’t an easy one; both of them faced very real issues in their lives that threatened to derail what they were finding together. That’s something I love in a romance… an imperfect path to love. That’s something I think readers can relate to, something real to life.

The author creates great characters, whether main or supporting. They all feel like real people, well developed and interesting. They elicited real emotion, even those cast in the roles of “villain.” A great cast of characters and a fabulous story made for a great read!

About Andrea Simonne

Andrea Simonne grew up as an army brat and discovered she had a talent for creating personas at each new school. The most memorable was a surfer chick named “Ace” who never touched a surf board in her life, but had an impressive collection of puka shell necklaces. Eventually she turned her imagination towards writing. Andrea still enjoys creating personas, though these days they occupy her books. She’s an Amazon bestseller in romantic comedy and contemporary romance, and author of the series Sweet Life in Seattle and About Love. She currently makes her home in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two sons.
