The Bookshop on the Corner

The glow off the quiet Firth was shining pink, making it feel for an instant as though the bus was flying through the white wires of the great structure.

In fact, as she’d booked her ticket, for less than the price of an evening at the pub, she’d realized that at the age of twenty-nine, there were lots of places she’d never been.

This is such a great book, even though I’m not yet that far into it! The cover is linked to its Goodreads page.

What are your picks for Winter 2017?

There are a bunch of books I’m looking forward to, so this list is by no means complete!

  1. Lifeblood by Gena Showalter (January):  I loved the first book, Firstlife, and I can’t wait for the next!
  2. Almost Autumn by Marianne Kaurin (January):  I’m not usually terribly into historical fiction, but this book intrigues me.
  3. Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth (January):  Loved Divergent, even if not so much Allegiant, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else this author has in store.
  4. Indelible by Adelia Saunders (January):  I love the premise of this book!

  1. I don’t think I have read books by any of these authors! But the cover for “The You I’ve Never Known” is definitely intriguing! I’ll have to keep an eye out for that one! I’m also excited to see what Veronica Roth has written in her newest book!
