the blurb
When Mabel stumbles across a corpse in the freezer at work, she can't believe her eyes. No really, she's never seen anything like it. Surreal and fascinating are the words that keep rolling around in her head.
It's too bad (for him) that her detective boyfriend doesn't want her meddling in his investigation. Also unfortunate (for him) that Mabel Frye isn't a very good listener––at least not when there's a murderer in her midst.

- It was very suspenseful from start to finish.
Such a great book! Mabel is one of my all-time favorite book heroines. She sees the best in everyone, at least until they give her a reason not to, and often even then. She’s also smart, funny, fiercely loyal, and she’s got the curiousity of a dozen cats. And that means she’s never met a mystery she doesn’t want to solve. The mystery in this one took us into the dark side of Savannah, into the sex clubs that host wild events for those willing to pay for access. It’s also a mystery that Leo warns Mabel away from, not that she listens.
There are so many twists and turns, and moments I never expected. I couldn’t put the book down! When the big reveal finally came, I was floored!
The author truly knows how to create great characters and smart storylines that make for a fun book experience. Her characters are so well done that they invoke every kind of emotion! She knows her way around a red herring and how to build the perfect level of suspense.
Another great Kayt Miller read!
Read this if you love a smart mystery with quirky, intelligent characters!
