the blurb
The Holiday Haven Inn is ready for its next adventure.
Carol and Mercy are preparing the inn for the summer solstice when they get a phone call from none other than Mrs Claus, telling them some VIP guests will be arriving at the inn. Namely, the representatives of other holidays, including the Easter Bunny and Cupid, who will bring them a much-needed publicity boost.
Unfortunately, their new guests also bring a flood of holiday-themed chaos. With the Easter Bunny demanding to be served fresh cabbage leaves every few hours and Cupid's arrows wreaking havoc among the staff, Carol finds her own potential love life on hold as she does her best to keep everything running.
Can Carol and Mercy figure out who keeps stealing Cupid's arrows and make it to the summer solstice in one piece?
my review
Holiday Hijinks is magical sequel to Winter Wishes in the Winter Witches of Holiday Haven series, revisiting Carol and Mercy in their inn.
This one was hilarious!! The two friends are prepping their inn for Summer Solstice, only to discover that Mrs. Claus is sending them some VIP quests that are coming to Holiday Haven for a conference at the North Pole. And those guests are representatives from other holidays. Unfortunately for the inn, the guests also manage to create chaos wherever they go.
The characterizations of the VIPs was so fun! The Fairy Godmother is sweet but her powers of wishes can have unforeseen consequences. The Tooth Fairy and Cupid are bitter rivals, the former brooding and the latter a bit of a man baby, which was hysterical. But my favorite was the Easter Bunny, who, as it turns out, is a diva. He’s grumpy and demanding, requiring fresh cabbage leaves to be served to him every few hours. And I loved him so much!!
These are fun, quick reads, perfect for seasonal reading!
