the blurb

When cozy mystery writers meet Edgar Allan Poe, the result is Edgar Allan Cozy. Each story in this suspenseful new anthology is inspired by the work of Poe. "The Raven," "The Lighthouse," "MS. Found in a Bottle," "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Cask of Amontillado," and "Annabel Lee" have been updated and set in the fictional town of Raven Harbor, Maine. Edited by Sadie Hartwell.

read this if… you love tantilizing stories with twisted plots, stories that might leave you guessing.

the good

  • a great variety of stories, some spooky and some with horror
  • great use of the works of Poe as inspiration

the bad

  • I loved some of these stories so much I wanted more!

Five authors joined together for this collection, creating two poems and four short stories. One of the poems was a modern rewriting of “The Raven,” which I loved. There were lots of Easter eggs to Poe’s works, which were fun to find. It’s a short read, but a fun one that I really enjoyed.
