the blurb

Sex – the carnal desire shared between two or more beings resulting in the most powerful of energy surges exhibited by man, animal and beast. Even promiscuity can be seen as normal in today's world of “hooking up”. Natalya Hart has certainly experienced all the joys that an enormous sexual appetite can provide. Picking up men and making them submit to her has become a sport – an art. However, an unfortunate combination of events take place that cause her to evaluate her present, her past and finally her future. Is she really a young woman having fun living in the hedonistic now, or, is there something else burning in her soul, itching to come out?

my review

Steaminess does not even BEGIN to cover the heat factor of this book!  I was not expecting it to be nearly as hot as it was, so be prepared!!

Natalya Hart is a women who is most definitely NOT afraid or ashamed of her sexuality.  She lives for it and has no regrets as she seeks to fulfill her needs.  But there is a reason that she is the way she is, even if she doesn’t know it yet.

I have mixed feelings about this book.  Admittedly, although I have nothing against it, erotica isn’t my usual genre.  But the premise beneath this book was fabulous.  The mystery behind who and what Natalya is made for some great suspense.  And since this was unlike anything I have read, I was kept guessing.  Unexpectedly, there were some pretty deep themes that really made you think.  The question of promiscuity… is it okay?  The controversy between dominance and submission and what that means?  And about judgment.. who are we to really judge another person and their choices?  I wasn’t expecting this in erotica and I appreciated it.  But I wonder if the steamy stuff is so much the focus that it makes it hard to see all of the depth, which is some pretty great stuff.  I will be getting the next book in the series, however, to see how things go for Natalya!

This is a short read, but there is nothing “quickie” about it.  Sorry, but with a book this steamy, it is hard not to go there with the puns!  If you love steamy, with an interesting premise, pick this one up!  Next up is Memoirs of a Succubus:  Ungulavia, coming in January 2014.

About Lillian Mackenzie Rhine

Lillian MacKenzie Rhine (“Lilly Mac”) writes in several genres ranging from paranormal to historical. She believes that the possibilities of creation should not be limited to just one category, but allow the story and characters to dictate where the journey leads. Being a beta reader for several years has allowed her to write her material with the reader in mind giving her books a more realistic and relatable approach.

Her debut novella, Memoirs of a Succubus, is a loose rendition of her life portrayed into a paranormal format. She has gone on to write a steamy, vampire romance novel, Winter’s Island, two months after her debut release with many more works in progress releasing about every two months.
